In 2009 you have the opportunity of being present when great art and nature meet in the best outdoor art festival Cape Town has ever seen. For those wishing to be involved, we recommend that you act early as the excitement for this festival is building fast!

The Walk of Art Festival will take place from Saturday 28 November 11h00 – 23h00 to Sunday 29 November 11h00 – 19h00 in De Waal Park in the City Bowl.
The Festival will be a great opportunity for local artists to showcase their work to discerning Capetonians in a relaxed and entertaining environment. The event will offer the opportunity for art lovers to interact with artists to enhance their experience and give artists a chance to engage with their audience.
The art will be presented in an ‘easy to access’ arrangement and will offer interest to the whole family, from painting to photography to ceramics to sculpture. Delicious food and soft drinks will be on sale and a bar will be available to visitors over the age of eighteen. All art will be on sale directly from the exhibits, as well as art supplies.
Art auctions will take place regularly throughout the event. Visitors will be entertained by gentle music as they wander through the walkways.

Parents should feel free to bring their kids along to take advantage of the play park facilities or book them into an art workshop.
Parking will be available at school sports fields nearby and the proceeds will go towards fund raising programs for the relevant schools.
